I have been in study and prayer over the condition of this nation, for many various reasons. I have felt a true rise within me to begin to speak out (Ecclesiastes 3:7) and release truth as we are meant to do as Christians, I want to first say a couple of things upfront 1. I love you no matter the condition of your lifestyle and the sum of your life choices, this is not in any way to be critical, condemning, or bashing, rather it is from a place of Love and Truth! 2nd and Most importantly Jesus Loves you! He is Truth and wants you to know Him and be free! (John 14:6) there are several issues that we are facing more openly and predominantly in the land today, that are diametrically opposed to the word of Truth, the Bible. It is time to take a stand on truth!
I first feel led to share truth about the Homosexuality and LBGTQ+ movement that includes all sexual immorality and seemingly liberating freedoms to do whatever you wish, with whomever you wish to do it with, this movement has begun to be inclusive of not just homosexuality, but also that of pedophilia.
The truth on this we find in the word of God, the Bible. Genesis 19:1-11 we see in this passage cities called Sodom and Gomorrah and they had gotten deeply involved in sexual immorality and began to have the adage “if it feels good, do it” sound familiar? We see in Jude 7 “And don't forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God's judgment.” We also see Leviticus 18:22 "Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin." So by this point we are beginning to see the stance God and Truth has on this type of lifestyle choice.
Secondly, I want to share the Truth pertaining to a major partial truth from the enemy that has infiltrated our churches and is called “The Hyper-Grace Movement” The term hyper-grace has been used to describe a new wave of teaching that emphasizes the grace of God to the exclusion of other vital teachings such as repentance and confession of sin. Hyper-grace teachers maintain that all sin, past, present, and future, has already been forgiven, so there is no need for a believer to ever confess it. We should immediately see the error in this, but to give biblical truth and context. The Bible is very clear on the path to Salvation and Redemption from the sins we commit and also our sinful nature.
1st Jesus came to restore to us the original plan when God created Adam and Eve (Luke 19:10, John 3:16), to bridge that gap of intimacy and separation from the father due to the fall of mankind due to sin. (Genesis 3)
2nd we have a clear path to salvation, (We are all sinners, Romans 3:23, Sin has consequences Romans 6:23, we have the answer to the consequences Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9 we must confess with our mouth, Romans 5:1, Romans 8:1, and Romans 8:38-39)
Hyper-grace teaching is a good example of mixing truth with error. An emphasis on the beauty and power of God’s grace is good, but some teachers are neglecting what Paul called the “whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). As part of the “Live your own truth” and LBGTQ+ agenda this type of doctrine and belief is creating a very immoral society, hyper grace says that Holy Spirit will not convict you of sin, we see clearly in the word this is not true, and every sincere Christian knows this feeling of conviction is real, Jesus calls the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of Truth” (John 15:26). Truth, by its very definition, will not tolerate anything false. When the Spirit of Truth abides in a believing heart (1 Corinthians 6:19), He brings conviction about anything that is not truth. Lastly, I am reminded of the words of Paul in Romans 6:1-2 “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?”
Thirdly I feel the topic of Abortion needing to be addressed, while the bible is not specific at calling out abortion there are several biblical principles that we can draw truth and God’s perspective on the procedure called abortion. First, we must establish that life begins at conception, there are several verses that speak to God knowing us and knitting us in our mother's womb (Psalms 139:13-17, Jeremiah 1:5) also we see even from a science point, that there is a “spark of light” when seed meets egg, (https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-just-captured-the-actual-flash-of-light-that-sparks-when-sperm-meets-an-egg) What significance is this as far as the Bible Creation and God? Well let’s start at the beginning. “And God said, let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:3 Light here is translated in Hebrew “light in me be“if we also notice the sun moon and stars had yet to be created. The light existed before anything because it came forth from God. “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26 Here we see God created man in His Image. The light of God in him. We begin to see the need of the light at conception and connection of Light and Life. “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk-in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 Jesus is the light and the life. Life is in the light! So with this understanding, we can now begin to see that life begins at conception, and any harm or death and mutilation of this life would fall in the category of murder. Murder is of course wrong and a sin. (Deuteronomy 5:17, Exodus 20:13, Exodus 23:7, Leviticus 24:17) I would say God’s view on Abortion is pretty clear and strong. “Anyone who takes another person’s life must be put to death.”- Leviticus 24:17
While we see the seriousness of needing to take a stand against these detestable things in the sight of God the Father, we can also rest in the comfort that He provided the answer and way out! We read a bit back that there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus, it means that once you have set yourself in the truth and within Him we can no longer feel the shame of the bad things that we have all be apart of doing, (all have sinned) So let me encourage you to open your eyes to the Truth, get to know Jesus and His word, He will provide the understanding, mercy, grace, forgiveness, love, and absolutely everything you need, whatever you need He IS! John 14:6 Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No man comes to the Father except through Me.”
